Russian, Italian foreign ministers discuss Ukraine

MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Italian counterpart Federica Mogherini have discussed a lasting truce in Ukraine.

Mogherini initiated the telephone conversation, says a report posted on the Russian Foreign Ministry website on Thursday.

"The ministers spoke about results of the meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine held in Berlin on July 2. They stressed the importance of the approved declaration and the appeal for a lasting truce in Ukraine and the soonest convocation of a contact group meeting," the ministry indicated.
