Some 3,000 displaced persons from Donbas accommodated in Odesa region

ODESA. July 3 (Interfax) - Some 3,000 displaced persons from the Luhansk and Donetsk regions are in the Odesa region as of July 3, Denis Platonov, acting head of the Ukrainian Emergency Situations Ministry's Main Department in the Odesa region, said at a meeting of the regional headquarters on social security issues.

"A total of 1,500 servicemen and their family members from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea are currently in six sanatoriums in the region. Some 3,000 displaced persons from the Luhansk and Donetsk regions have been registered. They have been accommodated in the region's sanatoriums. People arrive every day," he said.

According to the Ukrainian Emergency Situations Ministry, the sanatoriums of the Odesa region, which can take disabled persons and citizens from socially vulnerable categories, are now overfilled. The number of free temporary accommodation spaces in the region is limited and makes it impossible to accommodate a considerable number of citizens.
