Bank of Moscow sells Moldovan wine, cognac producer Calarasi Divin

MOSCOW. July 4 (Interfax) - The Bank of Moscow has sold Moldovan wine and cognac producer Calarasi Divin, the bank said.

The bank also gave up control of Moscow's LLC Kalarash, Moldovan Intreprinderea Mixta "Calarasi Divin" S.A., MMVZ-Moldova S.R.L. and SC "MMVZ-AGRO" SRL, also based in Moldova.

"As part of work to sell noncore assets, Moldovan wine and cognac producer Calarasi Divin was sold," a representative from the bank's press service told Interfax, adding that the bank did not have any other assets in Moldova.

The Bank of Moscow did not say who bought the company or for how much.

According to Calarasi Divin materials, this plant is the largest wine and cognac producer in the country and one of the oldest wine plants in Moldova. It was originally founded as a spirits distillery built in 1896.
