Russian Foreign Ministry expects EU to condemn Kyiv continuing forceful operation in eastern Ukraine
MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax) - Moscow expects the European Union to react adequately and condemn forceful actions by the Kyiv authorities in regard to civilians, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
"Kyiv is deaf to appeals to preserve people's lives. We hope that due to this EU states will have adequate reactions condemning the criminal policy of the Kyiv authorities," the document said.
"Despite numerous appeals by Russia, Ukraine's Western partners, international structures and the public, a massive operation is continuing in eastern Ukraine, as a result of which civilians keep dying and civilian infrastructure facilities are being destroyed," the Foreign Ministry said.
"Is their [Kyiv's] policy implemented in the framework of the so-called political section of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement?" the statement said.
