Cherkizovo founder Babayev again chairs company board

MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax) - Igor Babayev, founder of OJSC Cherkizovo Group , has again been elected chairman of the meat company's board of directors, Cherkizovo said in a press release.

The board has seven members, including four independent directors - Vitaly Podolsky, Musheg Mamikonyan, Samuel Lipman and Marcus Rhodes; and CEO Sergei Mikhailov and Yevgeny Mikhailov, head of projects and investment.

Cherkizovo Group is the largest meat and fodder producer in Russia and one of the top three companies serving Russia's poultry, pork and sausages markets. The company's brands include Cherkizovsky, Petelinka, Kurinoye Tsarstvo and Mosselprom. Cherkizovo is a vertically integrated group, which includes agricultural land, grain storage facilities, feed production, livestock breeding, growing and slaughtering as well as meat processing and distribution.
