Ukraine govt forces control border with Russia all long its perimeter - Kyiv
KYIV. July 7 (Interfax) - The Russian-Ukrainian border all along its perimeter, including the earlier problematical stretch in the Luhansk region, is under the tight control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and State Border Service, said Mykhailo Koval, deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
"Immediately after the ceasefire ended and the law enforcement operation entered an active phase, the entire border was shut to prevent attempts to transport heavy weapons into Ukraine across the border. Even in the Luhansk region the border is under full control of the armed forces and border guards," Koval said in an interview with Channel 5, broadcast on Monday evening.
