Donetsk quiet on Wednesday, no residents' evacuation- authorities

KYIV. July 9 (Interfax) - The first half of Wednesday passed quietly in Donetsk, with no reports received about local incidents, according to the Donetsk City Council.

"The city's vital public services are running smoothly. Today efforts continue to repair the power transmission lines between the pumping station on the Seversky Donets-Donbas Canal and the Slovyansk thermal power station. The maintenance team from the Voda Donbassa (Donbas Water) company is working to repair the Canal's pressure pipelines," the city council said in a statement on Wednesday.

The authorities also said no evacuation is taking place in the city.
