LPR reports arrival of 150 Ukrainian army heavy vehicles in Luhansk
LUHANSK. July 8 (Interfax) - A spokesperson for the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) said on Wednesday that Ukrainian army forces are moving towards Luhansk.
"The enemy has continued pulling its equipment and personnel in the northern direction, in particular, 150 armored vehicles, including APCs (armored personnel carriers), tanks and self-propelled launchers, as well as six Grad rocket launchers went through the town of Schastye towards Luhansk," the LPR said on its official website.
"Over the past 24 hours we have destroyed one APC and three trucks, presumably with ammunition. The aggressor lost around 50 of its personnel," the statement's authors said.
Furthermore, the LPR spokesperson reported that a woman sustained a fatal fragment injury in Dnipropetrovsky Pereulok Street in Luhansk. "Sporadic shots from howitzers were also audible in the Stanichno-Luhansk district, presumably near Olkhovaya," the LPR said.
