MinFin supports lowering duties on imported equipment for energy companies
GORKI. July 10 (Interfax) - Russia's Finance Ministry is supporting a proposal to lower duties on imported equipment not produced in Russia to stimulate oil and gas production, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said at a governmental meeting.
"[Our] colleagues proposed lowering import duties on imported equipment. In our opinion, this is reasonable to consider since we are always guided by the principle that if such technological equipment is not produced in Russia, then it makes sense to consider concessional import duties, he said.
