Govt to cut timeline of granting temporary asylum in Russia
NOVO-OGARYOVO. July 10 (Interfax) - The government will soon pass a resolution cutting the timeline of granting temporary asylum in Russia, Russian Federal Migration Service Chief Konstantin Romodanovsky said.
"A resolution cutting the timeline of granting temporary asylum has been drafted and will be issued soon," Romodanovsky said at a meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin held with government members on Thursday.
The presidential order approving provision of the state program on resettlement of fellow citizens will be ready soon, Romodanovsky said. "We have proposed to refer persons, who received a temporary asylum status, to those eligible to participate in the state program. Of course, this is additional assistance to individuals, who were forced to leave Ukraine due to the latest events," he said.
