Over 21,000 Ukrainian refugees currently staying in Russia - Emergency Situations Ministry

MOSCOW. July 12 (Interfax) - Over 21,000 people are currently staying at temporary settlements for Ukrainian refugees deployed on Russian territory, says Alexander Drobyshevsky, a spokesman for the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry.

"Seven more temporary settlements have been deployed over the past 24 hours, and so a total of 21,220 people are currently staying at 321 temporary settlements on Russian territory," Drobyshevsky told Interfax on Saturday.

Specialists from an Emergency Situations Ministry mobile hospital deployed in the town of Donetsk, the Rostov region of Russia, have provided aid to 197 people, including 30 in the past 24 hours alone, he said.

Emergency Situations Ministry automobile convoys have transported 5,486 refugees on Russian territory, including 762 in the past 24 hours alone, he said.

Over 30 regions of Russia have received refugees from Ukraine. They have mainly been accommodated in the Central, Southern, and North Caucasus Federal Districts and in Crimea.
