Ukrainian army artillery continues to strike on Donetsk - DPR

MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - Donetsk, Ukraine, was again put under artillery fire overnight, first vice-premier of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Andrei Purgin said.

'The shooting at Donetsk continued overnight. For instance, they opened fire on the Petrovka neighborhood. I personally heard the cannonade. Information about other areas is being verified," Purgin told Interfax.

In his words, the militia and the Ukrainian army engaged in shootouts in various places of the region last night.

"There were gunfire exchanges everywhere but heavy rain started late at night and somewhat alleviated the tensions because of low visibility," Purgin said.
