Visa problems of Russian attendees of Farnborough air show ''political" - ministry
MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has said the non-issuance of British visas to members of the Russian delegation at the Farnborough air show 2014 was a political move.
"This is purely a political move which can only cause regret," said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksei Meshkov, responding to a question posed by Interfax.
It was reported that problems in getting a British visa were the reason why many Rusisan aircraft manufacturers and arms exporters were unable to attend the Farnborough air show 2014 which opened in the suburbs of London on Monday.
Preliminary data suggest that around 160 Russian delegation members were still without visas by the time the show opened.
