French ambassador hopes Paris, Moscow will fully restore relationship
MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - Our bilateral Russian-French relationship will be fully restored despite the crisis in Ukraine, said French Ambassador to Russia Jean-Maurice Ripert.
"Russian-French relations are going through a tense moment due to the crisis in Ukraine. Nevertheless, these have been long-standing relations," the ambassador said at a reception on the occasion of the French Republic Day at the French Embassy in Moscow on Monday.
"I have no doubt that our relationship will be restored to the full," these relations have huge cooperation potential, the diplomat said.
The current differences will be resolved in the very near future, he said.
Ripert said he hopes the necessary solution to the Ukrainian crisis will be found in cooperation with German partners.
