Kyiv tries to blame Russia for crisis in southeastern Ukraine - Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. July 15 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported a surge in the number of bombardments of Russian populated localities on the border with Ukraine. These incidents are recurring without a reaction from Kyiv, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov told reporters on Tuesday.
"The use of heavy artillery by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has not just caused destruction in our populated localities but, most terribly, the death of a Russian citizen. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side cynically denies obvious facts and does its best to acquit itself of suspected gunfire on the Russian territory. The information war, which has been waged on us, substitutes the truth with speculations on the alleged amassment of Russian military units near the Ukrainian border. There have been brazen attempts to shift the responsibility for the crisis," Antonov said.
