Tehran expects to receive S-300 or more advanced air defense system from Russia - ambassador

MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - Tehran expects Russia to supply Iran with S-300 or even more advanced air defense systems, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei said.

"Officials from our Defense Ministry have repeatedly held negotiations with their partners in Russia. I think they enjoy good mutual understanding. I hope we will receive the S-300 or a more advanced system. This issue is being worked on," Sanaei said in an interview with Interfax.
