Belarusian, Kazakh prosecutors general sign cooperation agreement
MINSK. July 21 (Interfax) - The Belarusian and Kazakh prosecutor's offices signed a cooperation agreement in Minsk on Monday.
"The cooperation between the Belarusian and Kazakh prosecutor's offices is reaching a new partnership level. This is conditioned by the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union, which has become a basis for closer cooperation between our states in all spheres," Belarusian Prosecutor General Alexander Konyuk said during a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Askhat Daulbayev in Minsk on Monday.
"Mutual visits by delegations assist forming complete insight into work forms and methods of prosecutor offices and deep and comprehensive exchanges of experience," Konyuk said.
During the meeting the two prosecutors general signed a cooperation agreement stipulating that the parties "will develop cooperation between the two states' prosecutor's offices and achieve practical results in ensuring legal order, human rights and interests of citizens on the basis on mutual aspiration to join efforts in fighting crime, especially organized and cross-national crime," the Belarusian prosecutor general's office told Interfax.
According to the agreement, the Belarusian and Kazakh prosecutor general's offices will assist holding pre-investigation checks, considering applications and statements of citizens and legal entities, holding consultations on legal issues, will cooperate in staff training and advance training and will hold joint scientific research.
