Rostov region takes in over 35,500 Ukrainian refugees
ROSTOV-ON-DON. July 22 (Interfax) - The Rostov region has given refuge to 35,655 forced migrants from Ukraine, the regional emergency situations department told Interfax on Tuesday.
"Municipalities of the Rostov region accommodated 508 persons, among them 71 children, in the past 24 hours. In all, the region lodges 35,655 Ukrainian refugees, 12,155 of them underage," a department spokesman said.
In his words, ministry aircraft and vehicles did not transport Ukrainian refugees to other regions of Russia on Monday. About 200 refugees left the Rostov region on their own.
