LPR head orders militia to start counter-offensive

LUHANSK. July 22 (Interfax) - Head of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) Valery Bolotov has ordered the militia to carry out a counter-offensive against Ukrainian army positions in order to unblock Luhansk.

"Due to the situation - the surrender of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk by Mozgovoy subdivisions - and the current humanitarian situation in Luhansk, I have set the task to start a counter-offensive. The aim is to unblock Luhansk," Bolotov said at a news conference on Tuesday.

"The enemy was inflicted considerable damage last might, a group of the Ukrainian army remains surrounded in the Luhansk airport and it will be disposed of soon," he said.
