Turchynov asks UDAR, Svoboda to submit to Rada technical PM candidate
KYIV. July 24 (Interfax) - Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov said he urged the UDAR and Svoboda faction to nominate a technical prime minister candidate, who will head the government until parliamentary elections are held.
"I officially address the factions, which initiated the coalition breakup - UDAR and Svoboda - to immediately submit a proposal for a candidate for a temporary prime minister, who will head the government until parliamentary elections are held," Turchynov said at the parliament meeting on Thursday after Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced his resignation.
"I will call an emergency meeting to consider the candidate at any moment," the speaker said.
