OSCE: Right Sector demanded that Lukoil must allocate 3 tonnes of fuel per month for Ukrainian army

MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax) - The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has reported that members of the ultra-nationalistic Right Sector were blockading Lukoil gas stations in Ivano-Frankivsk demanding that the Russian firm provide up to three tonnes of fuel per month for the Ukrainian army.

"The SMM [OSCE Special Monitoring Mission] followed up on media reports that representatives of the Right Sector were blockading Lukoil gas stations in Ivano-Frankivsk demanding that the Russian company allocated 2.5-3 tonnes of fuel per month - about one hundred liters per day - for the army and constriction office," the OSCE mission in Ukraine said.

"In one petrol station in Ivano-Frankivsk the SMM was informed that Right Sector members had been blockading the station for three of four days. At another, the cashier stated that the station had only been blocked for a couple of hours on July 24," it said.

"The staff at the petrol stations were allegedly told by the Right Sector that it would continue to block Lukoil until the company met their demands, or closed their businesses in Ukraine," it said.
