Explosions reported in center of Donetsk
MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax) - A series of explosions rocked the center of Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, on Tuesday, Southeastern Front information center head Kostyantyn Knyrik told Interfax.
"Around ten powerful explosions occurred in the center of Donetsk ten minutes ago. The blasts happened within one or two minutes of each other and then stopped abruptly" Knyrik said.
Interfax has so far been unable to obtain confirmation of the report from other sources.
The press service of the Donetsk city administration said on Tuesday morning that the city's Leninsky and Kyivsky neighborhoods had been seriously damaged as a result of overnight artillery strikes.
