Estonian minister not to attend opening of WWI monument in Moscow

TALLINN. July 29 (Interfax) - Estonian Culture Minister Urve Tiidus will not attend a ceremony unveiling a monument to soldiers killed in WWI in Moscow on August 1.

"The minister will not be able to attend the ceremony because there are previously planned events on his agenda on that day," Tiidus' advisor Katrin Arvisto told journalists on Tuesday.

The Estonian side got the invitation from Russian Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky "too late, when the [Estonian Culture Minister's] schedule was already decided," she said.
