State of emergency declared in Krasnodar territory over inflow of Ukrainian refugees

KRASNODAR. Aug 4 (Interfax) - A state of emergency was declared in the Krasnodar territory on Monday given an increased inflow of refugees from southeastern Ukraine, the territorial administration's press service reported.

Twelve of the territorial departments and ministries will be involved in an effort to create proper living conditions for Ukrainian citizens at Governor Alexander Tkachev's order, including the health, housing and utilities, education, social welfare, family policy and labor and employment ministries," it said in a statement.

First Vice Governor Dzhambulat Khatuov and vice governors Vladimir Svezhenets and Vadim Lukoyanov have been put in charge of this work.

The heads of the municipal governments have been instructed to set up temporary accommodation and public catering centers for the refugees and to set up interagency commissions for aiding them.
