Azeri strikes against Nagorno-Karabakh continue - NKR Defense Ministry

YEREVAN. Aug 5 (Interfax) - The Azeri Armed Forces have broken the ceasefire at the Nagorno-Karabakh section of the Line of Contact approximately 400 times over the past 24 hours.

The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan have fired more than 6,500 shots from their small arms in the direction of Armenian positions, the press service of the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh (NKR) told Interfax.

"Frontline units of the NKR Defense Army are fully controlling the situation on the border and are prepared to strike back, should such a need arise," the press service said.
