Eight wounded citizens of Ukraine are treated in Russia's Donetsk

ROSTOV-ON-DON. Aug 6 (Interfax) - Eight wounded citizens of Ukraine, who were taken to Russia on August 4, are receiving treatment in the central city hospital of Donetsk, Rostov region of Russia, an official with the hospital told Interfax.

"The citizens of Ukraine sustained light wounds and are recovering. They will be ready for discharge from the hospital in the next few days," the source said.

The source did not specify if the people are civilians or military.

Initially, forty-nine wounded Ukrainians were expected to be taken to the hospital, the source said. "However, only eight people stayed eventually and the others were distributed between the medical establishments of the Rostov region," the source said.

The Donetsk central city hospital prepared to take 49 wounded people to the territory of Ukraine on August 4 after they went through customs. However, the hospital did not have enough resources to help all those people and some people were sent to other hospitals.
