Lavrov expresses hope Russian, Kazakh nuclear industries will continue to cooperate

UST-KAMENOGORSK, Kazakhstan. Aug 6 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has expressed hope for further cooperation between the nuclear industries of Russia and Kazakhstan.

"Our nuclear industry has big plans, so I expect that our cooperation will continue," Lavrov said in talking to the chief executive of the Ulbinsky Metallurgical Plant in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Yury Shakhvorostov, during a visit to the facility, which is one of Kazakhstan's nuclear industry centers and a manufacturer of uranium, beryllium and tantalum products.

During his stay in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Lavrov also visited the Azia Avto car assembly plant, where he saw assembly rooms and was told about assembly technologies.
