Kazakhstan's gold, forex reserves up 8.6% in Jan-July

ALMATY. Aug 7 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's gold and foreign currency reserves, including the Kazakh National Bank's gross reserves and funds accumulated in Kazakhstan's National Fund, totaled $103.754 billion as of the end of July 2014, up 0.7% in the month and 8.6% in January-July, the National Bank said in a statement.

Assets of the National Fund grew 0.2% in July to $76.757 billion (up 8.43% in 7M).

In July 2014, gross international reserves of the National Bank rose 1.99% to $26.997 billion (up 9.23% in 7 months) and the bank's net international reserves grew 2.65% to $26.355 billion, up 9.04% from the beginning of the year.

Currency reserves rose 2.8% in July to $20.453 billion (up 6.73% in 7M), while gold assets fell 0.49% to $6.543 billion (up 17.87% in 7M).
