Yerevan says Azeri Armed Forces fired over 4,000 shots in direction of Armenian positions

YEREVAN. Aug 8 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan's Armed Forces broke the ceasefire at different sectors of the border with Armenia 31 times last night, an Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman told Interfax on Friday.

The Azeri Armed Forces fired more than 4,000 shots from small arms in the direction of Armenian positions, he said.

"The Armenian side opened fire in return on five occasions, making 1,425 shots. None of the Armenian soldiers were killed or injured," the ministry spokesman said.
