Ukraine's DTEK boosts coal production 3.5%, electricity output 1.2% in H1
KYIV. Aug 8 (Interfax) - Rinat Akhmetov's DTEK, the largest energy company in Ukraine, boosted coal production 3.5% in the first half of 2014 year-on-year to 20.657 million tonnes, DTEK said in a disclosure to the London Stock Exchange.
Electricity production rose 1.2% to 24.592 billion kilowatt-hours in the six months. Electricity exports declined 6.2% to 4.639 billion kWh. Electricity transmission on the holdings distribution grids declined 4% to 27.906 billion kWh.
DTEK increased coal exports 28.8% to 2.704 million tonnes.
It also produced 345.6 million cubic meters of gas and 12,800 tonnes of gas condensate.
