Former DPR PM Borodai says words referring to him on Malaysian Boeing crash are intentional provocation

MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - A statement by Novaya Gazeta Editor-in-Chief Dmitry Muratov live on the Ekho Moskvy (Echo of Moscow) radio station, regarding the militia's involvement in the Malaysian Boeing crash in the Donetsk region on July 17, is " a provocation," former Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Alexander Borodai said.

"Dmitry Muratov's words do not deserve comment. This is simply nonsense. But this absurdity is an intentional provocation," Borodai was quoted as saying in a statement released by DPR mission in Russia. Since yesterday Borodai has been general advisor to the chairperson of the DPR council of ministers.

This was Borodai's response to Muratov's statement live on Ekho Moskvy on August 7. "I am aware that Alexander Borodai called the CEO of one mass media outlet 40 minutes after the Boeing crashed and said - 'we probably shot down a civilian airplane'
