Ukraine militias recapture towns, villages - spokesman
DONETSK, Ukraine. Aug 9 (Interfax) - A spokesman for the militia command based in Donetsk said militias had been able to recapture on Saturday some towns and villages from the Ukrainian army in the regions of Donetsk and Luhansk.
"It has been possible to wrench some towns and villages from Ukrainian forces, including Dovzhansky [on the territory of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic and near the Russian border]. At the moment the situation is unstable. There may be changes any moment," the spokesman told Interfax.
He denied reports that the Ukrainian army had taken the town of Chervony Luch.
