Ukrainian Dolzhanskyi customs post reopens after long pause

ROSTOV-ON-DON. Aug 12 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Dolzhanskyi checkpoint reopened on Tuesday morning after being idle for almost 40 days, Southern Customs Department spokesman Rayan Farukshin told Interfax.

"The adjacent Russian customs post, Novoshakhtinsk of the Rostov customs, is working normally. Customs clearance of goods and vehicles is being conducted fully," he said.

It was reported on Tuesday morning that customs officers of four motor checkpoints of the Southern Customs Department in the Rostov region were not working due to the inactivity of their Ukrainian colleagues. Those were Novoshakhtinsk, Kuibyshevo, Voloshino and Matveyev Kurgan.
