Customs Union mulling further interaction with Ukraine in context of its association with EU - Peskov
SEVASTOPOL. Aug 13 (Interfax) - Countries of the Customs Union are discussing questions of further interaction with Ukraine in the context of Kyiv's association agreement with the EU, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said.
"It is true that the issue of continuing the discussion, specifically with the involvement of the Ukrainian side, was considered today. If and when the final date of a meeting is agreed upon, we will announce that," he said to journalists adding that the level of such a four-sided meeting will also be announced.
"Against the backdrop of [Ukraine's] association agreement with the EU, its political and economic parts, the troika [of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan] is constantly discussing the future modality of relations [with Ukraine], the way economic relations will be conducted and whether that will damage the economic interests of parties to the integration process or not," Peskov added.
