TVEL, Ukraine's Nuclear Fuel to hold JV consultations in Sept
MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - Russian nuclear fuel corporation TVEL and Ukraine's state-owned Nuclear Fuel concern will hold consultations regarding the formation of a joint Nuclear Fuel Factory in September.
TVEL, which is part of the Rosatom state nuclear corporation, said in a statement that the consultations would take place in Ukraine itself and would coincide with a planned meeting of shareholders in JSC Nuclear Fuel Factory.
TVEL said bilateral talks on the joint venture were held in Moscow on August 5-6. Further funding for the project, approval of project documentation, the license agreement and what needs to be done to pay for and supply technological equipment for the first stage of the plant were discussed. It was noted that the project had fallen considerably behind schedule.
"The sides expressed a willingness to find mutually acceptable decisions on outstanding issues with maximum regard for the interests of the parties," TVEL said.
