Ukrainian flag raised over Ilovaysk - "Donbas" battalion

KYIV. Aug 19 (Interfax) - The "Donbas" and "Dnepr" battalions, as well as other forces of the army operation made another attempt on August 18 to gain control over the city of Ilovaysk in the Donetsk region, eastern Ukraine.

"Grad and Uragan [systems], as well as armored hardware were used against the Ukrainian servicemen. Groups of the "Donbas" battalion that entered the city from ten different directions managed to access the city center, where the blue-and-yellow flag of the Ukrainian state is already flying," the "Donbas" battalion said on its Facebook account.

Fighting continued in some parts of Ilovyask last night. The Ukrainian army is not controlling the entire city.

"The "Donbas" battalion has not suffered any losses," it said.
