ICRC rep Corbaz holds meeting at Russian Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. Aug 20 (Interfax) - Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Operations for Europe and Central Asia Laurent Corbaz met on Wednesday morning in Moscow with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
The meeting lasted about an hour, the Interfax correspondent reported.
Corbaz went to Kyiv last Friday, where he met with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities. Following the talks in Kyiv, Corbaz returned to Geneva and flew to Moscow from there on August 19. The ICRC operations head's visit to Kyiv and Moscow are held amid the attempts to resolve all issues concerning the delivery of the humanitarian aid from Russia to residents of southeastern Ukraine.
It is hoped that all issues with Russian humanitarian aid delivery will be resolved before the talks between Corbaz and representatives of Russian agencies, the ICRC said earlier.
