Moscow advises U.S. to take care of domestic issues, including in Ferguson

MOSCOW. Aug 20 (Interfax) - Police in the U.S. city of Ferguson use disproportionate force against protesters, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"Police use force disproportionally," Russian Foreign Ministry Human Rights Ombudsman Konstantin Dolgov said on Rossiya 24 (Russia 24) TV channel.

"Every day brings new manifestations of the offense on human rights," Dolgov said.

The U.S. authorities do not have dialogue with protestors and force is being used, he said.

"The U.S. authorities should take serious care of domestic issues and try to resolve them efficiently, instead of lecturing sovereign states on human rights and instead of interfering in affairs of other countries under false human rights slogans," Dolgov said.

Disturbances erupted in the city of Ferguson in Missouri after police killed an African-American teenage boy.
