Kyiv claims Russian aid convoy moving without Ukraine's consent without ICRC
KYIV. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Trucks from Russia's Ukraine-bound humanitarian aid convoy have started to move towards the Izvaryne checkpoint in Ukraine's Luhansk region unaccompanied by International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) personnel and without Kyiv's consent, a source in the Ukrainian authorities told Interfax.
"The convoy started to move on its own, without the Ukrainian side's consent and unaccompanied by the ICRC," the source said.
A Rossiya 24 television station reporter has also said, citing eyewitnesses, that there are no ICRC representatives inside the trucks carrying the Russian humanitarian aid.
