Ukrainian PM calls for every chance to be used to settle eastern conflict

KYIV. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Ukraine must use every negotiating opportunity to resolve the conflict in the east of the country, said Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk.

"For this (Geneva) format to be prepared and a solution to be reached, I think any talks should be held and every chance and opportunity used to settle this conflict. We need to stop this war," Yatsenyuk told Ukrainian television channels on Friday.

The Prime Minister stressed that, in his view, the most optimal format is provided by the Geneva talks with Russia, involving the United States and Europe.
