Maxim Matyushin appointed new Russian space mission control chief

MOSCOW. Aug 27 (Interfax-AVN) - Maxim Matyushin, the newly-appointed chief of the Russian space mission control center in Korolyov, the Moscow region, will be introduced to the center's personnel on Wednesday, a Russian space rocket industry source told Interfax-AVN.

"The new mission control chief has been appointed, and he will be introduced to the personnel today," the source said.

The previous mission control chief, Viktor Ivanov, was earlier appointed deputy general director of the Moscow-based Institute of Space Device Engineering, which is affiliated with the Russian Space Systems and is a subsidiary of the United Rocket and Space Corporation.
