Kyiv says fighting on near Luhansk, Ilovaisk, armored approach routes mined in Mariupol

KYIV. Aug 29 (Interfax) - The fighting continues near Luhansk, Ilovaisk and Lutuhyno, Ukraine's Information Resistance Group leader Dmytro Tymchuk said.

"Ukrainian troops are actively reinforcing protection and defense of their camps and strongholds and installing engineering equipment at roadblocks in all sectors," he wrote on Facebook.

"The ATO forces are organizing the ground and mining armored approach routes in the Mariupol area," he said.

Ukrainian army positions near the urban-type settlement Chervona Polyana and roadblocks near Heorhiivka and Luhanska were shelled by mortars twice. Mortar bombardments of roadblocks near Lutuhyno and Herasymovka went on, and Ukrainian army positions were attacked near Malomykolaivka.

"An ATO convoy came under gunfire near the Luhansk airport. Tentative reports said some servicemen had been wounded and four vehicles had been disabled," Tymchuk said.
