PACE, Russia disagree over Ukraine - assembly chief

PARIS. Sept 2 (Interfax) - President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Anne Brasseur has said that the PACE and Russia differ in their positions over the situation in Ukraine.

"Our positions on the assessment of what is going on are by and large divided, and I would like to stress that," Brasseur told reporters after a meeting of the PACE Presidential Committee, which was attended by State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin.

The hostilities in Ukraine have already claimed the lives of 2,600 people, she said.
