Protocol signed in Minsk envisions freeing of all hostages - Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council
KYIV. Sept 5 (Interfax) - A ceasefire agreement signed in Minsk on Friday envisions the freeing of hostages, Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council spokesman Andriy Lysenko said.
"It also includes a provision on freeing all hostages," Lysenko said at a news conference in Kyiv on Friday evening.
The ceasefire regime will provide the opportunity for "swapping hostages" and continuing the peace negotiations, Lysenko said.
