NATO not unfreezing contacts with Russia until Moscow returns to int'l obligations - Vershbow

MOSCOW. Sept 8 (Interfax) - NATO does not see the possibility of restoring practical cooperation with Russia until Moscow starts carrying out its international obligations, NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow said at a briefing during a video conference with Brussels on Monday.

NATO does not want such situation development, but a freeze of contacts will continue until Russia starts fulfilling its international obligations, Vershbow said.

As of now, Russia is unable to act as an active participant of the contact network and this is regrettable, he said.
