Non-resident stake in Russian banks down from 22.53% to 21.06% in Q2 - Central Bank

MOSCOW. Sept 10 (Interfax) - The overall stake held by nonresidents in Russian banks fell from 21.06% to 22.53% during the second quarter of 2014, the Central Bank said on its website.

This does not include equity owned by non-residents under the major influence of Russian residents.

The foreign stake in the Russian banking sector has been on the slide since the start of 2011, when it was 24.62%. It was 23% at the beginning of this year.

In value, the non-resident stake in the banking system fell to 338 billion rubles from 351 billion rubles during Q2 2014.
