Russia invited to conference on Iraq called on Paris initiative - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Sept 11 (Interfax) - Russia has received an invitation to participate in a conference on Iraq which is being held on the initiative of French President Francois Hollande.

When asked whether Russia had received a relevant invitation, Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich said that it had.

"The level of our participation in the conference in France on September 15 is being specified now. I cannot say more precisely," Lukashevich told reporters on Thursday.

The international conference on security in Iraq will be held in Paris on September 15, the Elysee Palace reported on September 9. International and regional partners, who seek maintaining peace in Iraq and assist reaching it, will participate in the conference.
