Poroshenko hopeful about success of Donbas de-escalation talks

KYIV. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is confident that negotiations on de-escalation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine will bring results.

"I am confident our negotiations will have positive results," the Ukrainian president said at the 11th meeting of the Yalta European Strategy (YES) conference in Kyiv on Friday. He stressed the importance of the negotiations held by the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk on September 5.

Poroshenko also said he believed in the possibility of resolving every disputable issue with Russia in the context of the Ukraine-EU Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area. "We will do everything in our power but Russia should demonstrate responsible behavior as well," the president pointed out.
