UnionPay interested in cooperation with national payment system

MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax) - UnionPay representatives have expressed interest in cooperating with the National Payment Card System during a session of the Russian-Chinese Commission for Investment Cooperation that took place this week, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseyev said.

"There were UnionPay representatives at the meeting, who expressed interest in cooperation," he said.

He said that no documents on cooperation have yet been signed. "Everything occurred at the level of announcing intentions. There were no National Payment Card System representatives, nor were there Bank of Russia representatives," he said.
