Russian aid at Donetsk checkpoint awaiting permission to cross into Ukraine - ministry
MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax) - The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry column carrying humanitarian aid will head into the southeast of Ukraine after it receives approval from the Ukrainian authorities, said the ministry's spokesman Alexander Drobyshevsky.
"The column of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry carrying humanitarian aid for residents of the south-eastern Ukraine is ready for dispatch, the vehicles are loaded. It is in Donetsk in the Rostov region and its dispatch is currently being negotiated with Ukraine," Drobyshevsky told reporters on Friday.
"As soon as the relevant permission is received, the column will cross the Russian-Ukrainian border through the Donetsk-Izvarine checkpoint," he said.
